Belle de Jour 2011 Power Planner

10/27/2010 --

I just got back from the BDJ 2011 Fair!
Well, I just stayed there for about ten minutes[in line], got my planner, then left since Ralph's gout was quite unbearable already.

2011's BDJ is available in two kinds of binding: spiral-bound and book bound. I would have loved to get the book bound one, but I wasn't happy with how the pages looked. There was a wide gap between the two pages, which I know, was meant for the spiral binding. I just hope that next time, they'll adjust the layout for book bound type.

Another feature of BDJ 2011 is its Lifestyle Card. "It is a discount card that you can use more than once! This BDJ Lifestyle Card will also serve as your membership card to gain access to all BDJ events throughout 2011. Plus, 24 of our lifestyle brand partners have generously offered recurring discounts and promotions to help you live out your “it girl" lifestyle!"

So far, I'm so stoked for 2011 just so I can use my planner. Haha!

Mosquito's Valse

10/9/2010 --

have you ever seen mosquitoes dance?
atop a young man's head, they danced around.

they whirled and twirled around in sync,
just right and in time with Tchaikovsky's Valse.

they looked so lovely that i forgot
that they have caused these itches and rash.

a surprising thing what these bloodsuckers can do.
how they can seem so lovely and graceful, too.

but still, i reach out and crush them with my hands.
and i see my own blood on my rust-stained palms.

A random thing, and something about commitment.

Just sharing a few things that I came across with..

The first thing is this Google logo in celebration of Vivaldi's birthday, in the theme of his Le Quattro Stagioni.

---

The next one is a post that a friend of mine shared - which she also got from another blog, actually.. the true source is unknown to me. Well, I'm sharing this just because.. ^__^ happy, happy. :D

I guess it’s that person with who everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn’t fall the right way, I suppose. I believe in the fact that ending up with someone, finding a long time partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing.

Forward Thoughts!

1/21/2010 --

Heck. Can't I just skip this week and go straight to Monday? One midterm exam down.. Two more to go!Just Music Education Workshops and Deutsche left..
I really want to celebrate!

About Marvin.. It's one of my favorite cartoon strip, aside from Calvin and Hobbes, Mutts, Garfield and Pugad Baboy. I read Blondie and Beerkada from time to time. I've tried reading Kiko Machine, but it's just so, hm, say it just causes me a "nosebleed."

This Marvin strip I read a while ago at the Manila Bulletin is just so cute!

If you can't read it, here's what it says:
"My whole world was rocked to its core last night! I was listening to my mom and dad talking when it suddenly hit me... My parents don't have all the answers!!

Rain = Love

8/16/2009 --

The day is cold, dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the mouldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.
-Henry Wadsworth

Oh yes, the day is cold, dark and dreary. But, y'know what? I'm loving it. I love the rain. I just do. I don't need a reason. I don't need to know why. But, well, maybe I do.

I love the sound it makes and the feeling it gives. The infinite drops of rain falling onto the ground making those calming sounds. The smell of soil when moistened by the first few drops. The gusts of wind embracing me, and the rain drops falling on my skin, so cool and comforting.

I dream of the rain, and not of sunny days. Wrapped in the warmth of my lover's embrace, gently, in front of a warm furnace. Oh it's just a dream, but still a good dream, nonetheless - a very good dream that's more of a wish.
Don't get me wrong, I still love the sunshine but the rain is the represantation of my dreams and of my very soul.
Sometimes harmful, but other times, benefactory. Letting itself go, then gently pouring down to the thirstly soil.
I just love it.
“I love the rain, 'cause when I walk in it, no one will know I'm crying...”

Pain

4/1/2009 --

a voice is screaming inside of me.
screaming for things that ought to be.
some words unsaid and things not done,
some of the reasons why i can't move on.

as time pass by, some feelings I still hide
and the hurt grows deeper and darker inside.
minutes turn to hours and hours into days
so many things coming together in different ways.

hot fire and sharp thorns tear at my heart
burning, hurting, and tearing me apart.
at times I feel such rage and bitterness
for this life and the pains that seem so endless.

i lose the desire to live and to go on.
some hope and faith already left and gone.
all of what's left are quite lost,
because of some things of the past.

where are the friends who ought to be there?
where are the people who, I thought, will care?
where is the love, the joy, the bliss?
why are there only problems that never cease?

life, it seems, has left me alone and weak
so weak, that I cannot even speak
but are there really ears willing to listen,
so that this pain i feel will lessen.

all have different lives and things to tend to
different things to think about and things to do.
will there ever be anyone who'll care enough to ask
ask about the girl hiding inside the mask.

even with the tears inside,
facing the world with a big smile.
hiding the hurt and the pain all together.
the mask i wear is getting heavier.

how i wish for this misery to end.
i pray to God for some grace to send.
send me some angel in this lonely earth
for i am losing hope with all these hurt.

Thirteen Months

1/26/2008 --

our eyes meet.
a smile is shared.
from this point on
in love, we are ensnared.

it wasn't just at a sight
and such time it took
to be where we are now -
The Past. Back then - we are to look.

We were friends, the best of one another.
But still, we are, and much more.
I do not need to find more definition
for Love - to which I dedicate

- these thirteen lines for our thirteen months.

New Year 2008

Well, a happy new year to all! So here I am, new year and all, in front of the computer.. Well, it's been a quiet celebration with my family, my dogs and cats, and my sweetie on the phone.. Okay, enough with the weird intro.

It has been a pleasant 2007, well, at least for me. There were slight bumps along the way, but thankfully, they're not big boulders. I have the Lord to thank for that. Still, there are much to hope and pray for the years to come. I would like to have a fresh start this new year's day. Letting go of the past is a very hard thing to do, especially for me. It's not just the events and the bitterness that have to be let go of, but also the bad habits, and all those kind of stuff. My resolutions list is something that I usually fish out of the junk drawer, years and years after I've written it down. Just some things that I intend to do or to change about myself. It's just the same thing every year. But then again, what's different with this year, anyway? For one thing, this is my 18th year in this world. And my first time to have a beau(wow.it's been a year now, huh?) And, well, this is where I've found the people who would really stick to your side, through thick and through thin - no matter what. There were mistakes that I truly regret, and yet, I am thankful for. Without them, I wouldn't be who I am today. No, I am not a perfect person, nor will I ever be. I just realize that I did grow, even for just a little bit. Maturity takes time - all it needs is some Faith and Love. Let me thank all of the people who's been there all the time, people who have hurt me and taught me lessons and such, and the people who are just there. Existing.

Let's all keep 2007 in our memory boxes, and welcome 2008 with a cheer, not -I repeat- NOT with a bang. At least for me, anyway. Happy and Prosperous New Year to All and God Bless!!! Let us take all the good and move on from all the bad... erm. ..stuff. =) xoxo .
