The Time Traveler's Wife is my bed-side table book since last year. A friend of mine lent me a copy first, and I fell in love with it so I bought my own copy.
I've actually refrained from watching the movie because I don't want to be disappointed. My sister just popped the DVD in one time, and I can't resist watching anymore.
Both the movie and the book has their own charm. My sister, who hasn't read the book yet was crying by the end of the movie. I don't really know how I was going to react, since I was already anticipating everything.
Thing is, even though I've read the book dozens of times, it never fails to make me tear up.
